Suzie Comben, Director of Studies at Combination Languages has been teaching languages for over 13 years and has worked in France, Spain, Italy and England.  She is passionate about providing high quality, engaging lessons for all students.  She ensures that every week of lessons runs with a different theme such as ‘Europe’, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Young People’ or ‘The Environment’.  This means that although grammar is still an important part of the lessons, more focus is put on learning to express ideas within a topic relevant to young people. During term time Suzie teaches Spanish and French at Davison C of E High School and this gives her the chance to establish penpal links between English and Foreign students.  Befriending someone who speaks the language that you are learning is a highly motivating and fun way of developing your language skills.  Suzie also organises groups of her English students to take part in the ‘Project Work’ and ‘Activities’ which gives everyone the chance to make International friends and to practise their language skills in a natural environment.
