Combination Summer School is a great way to learn or improve your Spanish, meet Spanish and English people of your own age and have fun!
Each week, day begins with 3 hours of Spanish lessons with either Maria or Celeste who are both qualified Spanish teachers from Madrid. The classes are conducted mainly in Spanish as this exposure to the language is the best and fastest way to learn. Don’t let this put you off though! Instructions can always be translated and although both Maria and Celeste are Spanish, they are also fluent in English and are always happy to help if anyone has trouble understanding.
Students practise all 4 skills; Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing with most emphasis being placed on Listening and Speaking in Spanish. The lessons are stimulating, interesting, relevant and fun! We have a lively, interactive approach to teaching and learning and often use games, songs and authentic materials to develop your language skills. Having said that, grammar plays an obviously important role in any language
and some time is also spent working through grammatical points.
We believe that the most important reason for learning languages is to communicate with others and to get to know new people. This is why our Spanish classes run alongside our English classes for Spanish teenagers and at times during the course the two classes combine to practise their language skills.
Every afternoon all Spanish and English students take part in a variety of exciting activities together such as; Beach Volleyball, Treasure Trail round Arundel, mini golf in Brighton, open top bus, trip to Devil’s Dyke, bowling, and many more...
Each Saturday is a day trip to London (including either a ride on The London Eye, or a visit to The London Dungeons or Madam Tussaud’s).
What better way to develop your Spanish, than to do it whilst having fun and making new friends? Our unique combination of classroom lessons and fun activities with Spanish teenagers is a motivating and exciting way to learn!
Courses start Monday 26th July 2010, Monday 2nd August 2010, Monday
